AIMPACT Marks the Birth of Jambi Digital Movement, Empowering Jambi’s SME's and Digital Talent to Grow

Through AIMPACT, Aditya Prabowo introduces Jambi Digital Movement as a collaborative space for digital talent, entrepreneurs and Jambi’s digital community.

JAMBI — Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) are seen as a major opportunity for micro, small and medium enterprises (SME's) in Jambi to improve productivity, expand their markets and strengthen their competitiveness as the digital economy evolves.

These opportunities were discussed at the AIMPACT seminar and workshop, “AI as a Smart Solution with Real Impact”, held alongside the launch of Jambi Digital Movement (JDM).

Held at the Griya Mayang Hall at the Mayor of Jambi’s official residence on Thursday, 17 September 2026, the event brought together hundreds of SME owners and introduced JDM as a collaborative space for developing the city’s digital ecosystem.

Jambi Digital Movement was initiated by Aditya Prabowo, an AI practitioner and Chair of the Strategic Studies Body of BPD HIPMI Jambi. Through JDM, Aditya aims to bring together digital talent, entrepreneurs, academics, technology practitioners and other stakeholders.

The event was officially opened by Dr. H. Mulyadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development at the Jambi City Regional Secretariat, representing Mayor Dr. dr. H. Maulana, M.K.M. Mulyadi also officially inaugurated Jambi Digital Movement.

AI Must Deliver Practical Solutions for SME's

The event encouraged participants to go beyond a conceptual understanding of AI and apply it to the practical needs of their businesses.

Aditya Prabowo believes AI can support SME's in activities ranging from creating marketing content and developing business strategies to preparing promotional materials and improving operational efficiency.

Through AIMPACT, participants explored simple, accessible examples of AI applications relevant to their everyday business activities.

This approach is intended to challenge the perception that AI is complex technology reserved for large companies.

Instead, AI can become an increasingly accessible tool for SME's to improve product quality, productivity and competitiveness.

Jambi Digital Movement Builds a Digital Ecosystem

The launch of Jambi Digital Movement was a key part of AIMPACT. Aditya Prabowo initiated the community to strengthen collaboration and public participation in Jambi’s digital transformation.

As Founder of Jambi Digital Movement, Aditya sees digital transformation as more than the development of infrastructure and the adoption of technology. It also requires people with digital literacy, adaptability and a willingness to keep learning and innovating.

JDM is intended to connect digital talent, technology practitioners, academics, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in an inclusive digital ecosystem.

Through a community-based approach, JDM hopes to broaden access to technology knowledge and skills, including AI.

The community also reinforces the idea that smart city development must be accompanied by the development of smart citizens: people who can use technology to create solutions and make a tangible difference in their surroundings.

Strengthening the Regional Economy’s Competitiveness

AI adoption is a strategic issue for regional economic development, particularly in strengthening SME's and the creative economy.

As Chair of the Strategic Studies Body of BPD HIPMI Jambi, Aditya Prabowo encourages the use of technology as part of a strategy to strengthen entrepreneurship and the competitiveness of local businesses.

With trade and services playing an important role in its economy, Jambi City has an opportunity to use digital technology to improve business efficiency and competitiveness.

Digital transformation must extend beyond the use of online marketing platforms. Building people’s capabilities, improving business processes and developing new technology-based business models also deserve attention.

Collaboration among government, business organisations, communities, academia and the financial sector is important to ensure that digital transformation delivers sustainable economic benefits.

Cross-Sector Collaboration to Help SME's Grow

AIMPACT was organised through collaboration among the ITB Alumni Association in Jambi, the Strategic Studies Body of BPD HIPMI Jambi, the Jambi City Government and several supporting institutions and organisations.

The event also featured Sepriansyah, known as Ruangsepri, Co-Founder of AI Creator Labs and a practitioner of AI-driven content creation, alongside other speakers from technology practice and ITB’s alumni community.

Support from these organisations demonstrates that developing SME's requires a collaborative approach connecting technology, access to finance, business capacity building and a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Aditya Prabowo hopes AIMPACT and the launch of Jambi Digital Movement will help the public better understand the opportunities offered by AI, while encouraging continued learning, mentoring and collaboration across the digital ecosystem.

In this spirit, Jambi Digital Movement aims to help Jambi become a region that not only follows technological developments but also uses them to create economic and social value.

Ultimately, digital transformation is about more than the sophistication of the technology. It is about the benefits people can experience.

Be part of Jambi’s digital movement.
